Kristin Fisher has joined CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. As the Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she's responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the rise and development of tourism to space. As the daughter of two NASA astronauts Kristin has a background in the industry of space. She worked for the past five years covering the Biden and Trump Space policies of the administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. While covering the two presidential impeachment cases as well as the 2020 Presidential Campaign as well as both administrations' efforts to limit the outbreak of coronavirus, Kristin covered a lot of other subjects. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Kristin worked her way through the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for over a decade before joining the CBS network. She won an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as the CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Using her skills on the set, Kristin established Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company focused on making documentary-style movies for clients of corporate nature, including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelors of Science of Journalism at Boston University. She and her husband, who is three years old, daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
